Agriotherium
An extinct bear genus from the Miocene-Pleistocene epochs. It was 9 feet in length, making it considerably larger than modern bears. Apart from a huge species of prehistoric polar bear (the “tyrant sea bear”), Agriotherium was the largest bear known, along with Arctodus simus.
